So for years after the X factor everyone kept asking me to go onto The Voice! Well I did it! But I didnt get Through!

It was run alot better than the X Factor!! Big time!

Before the Audition i had to fill in the BBC ( At the time) application form. Then the talent scouts came to Canvas in Bournemouth and took my information down. Then I got my Invite up to London!

I had my Mother in law and her sister come with me to London we caught the 5.50am coach! and landed in london at 8.45am. Unfortunately no family or friends are allowed in with you to the audition unlike the X factor……

I arrived at 10am at the Hilton Hotel, My audition was at 11.30am however they sent me in! I waited in a holding room for around 10 minutes before a crew member came and called our names, we went in groups of 7/10. We went up to the next level of the hotel and waited outside to be called in.

As we were in the room we were greeted by 3 Producers from ITV who have no taken over the Voice. They were very Welcoming and made us relax as they made conversation with the group. We then did a 5min vocal warm up and was called up one by one to sing for 1 min before they stopped us.

You could feel the tension in the room! After we all performed we were asked to leave while the producers talked us over. The crew outside were great and made conversation with us!

After 10 mins we were called back into the room and the producers said that everyone was amazing, please don’t take it to heart if you don’t get through, we have seen alot of people already , similar ages and vocals etc. They were very supportive and considerate. However the 2 oldest out of the group got through they were 83 & 60 years old!

I would do it again as it was ran very well and professional but at the same time it is a tv show and there are other ways of being found!

I’m glad i did and its another thing i can tick off my list 😀 I was out by 11.15am so around the time i should of been going in for my actual audition. It did mean i had the rest of the day shopping and lunching in London so it was a win/win really!
